Christmas T-shirts
At the end of 2020, Mistress on Moore (previously Mistress of Spice) rebranded with a new name, logo, and uniform for staff. As we were nearing Christmas, I was asked to design a branded Christmas t-shirt for the staff to wear and loyal customers to purchase.

The Brief
The requirements for the t-shirt were of a design to appear on a purple shirt, with the text 'Christmas with the Mistress'. It also had to be festive, however with coffee incorporated somehow to reflect the cafe. Mistress on Moore also wanted just two colours used in the design, to avoid extra charges from the print company. The demographic at the cafe - and potential buyers of the shirt - are suburban working families with young children.
As the design was to appear on a purple background, it made sense for the secondary colour to be white. For the accent colour, I chose orange as it contrasts both colours while also representing the colour of coffee crema. From afar, the t-shirt appears as a Christmas tree with festive decorations yet upclose, coffee cups and beans are seen nestled among the baubles. The star of the show is a coffee cup as the tree-topper with orange stream forming a heart.
