Acouline
Brand Design
Acouline is a premium range of acoustic panels designed by the team at Furnx. As Australia’s leading wholesale furniture provider, Furnx required a brand identity for Acouline that aligned seamlessly with their established Rapidline range. The Acouline brand encompasses a versatile collection of acoustic solutions, including wall and ceiling panels, free-standing screens, and pinboards.
Brief: The General Manager and Product Developer at Furnx requested a logo and brand identity for Acouline that complemented Furnx’s existing Rapidline branding, while establishing Acouline as a premium product line of acoustic panelling. The logo was required to work within the same rounded rectangle as the Rapidline logo, as well as function independently as a standalone wordmark.

Final Designs
Primary Logo

While maintaining a visual connection to the Rapidline brand, I wanted the Acouline logo to feel distinctive. To achieve this, I designed the logo to also function as a standalone lettermark. The layered “panel” elements at the beginning of the wordmark reference acoustic panelling, while also creating depth and structure alongside the letter A.

Another consideration was pronunciation. There was a risk the name could be read as “Acou-linn” rather than “Acou-line,” so it was important to emphasise the L. After exploring a capitalised L, which introduced spacing and kerning issues, I instead used the same panel motif to highlight the letter.
